Artificial intelligence has transformed the concept of what a design product can be. When a product's purpose is clear and its logic is well defined — and there is no complex security or database architecture getting in the way — I can now take that design and turn it into a functional, ready-to-use product.
I see AI agents as assistants or co-pilots. I believe in the potential of narrow AI rather than in the replacement of humans, although roles are being reconfigured as a result of this new way of working.
There are so many things to change and improve in this world that, hopefully, there should be no shortage of new work. These kinds of projects are more like the creations of one-man bands than the performances of large orchestras. Catch the difference?
Local app end-to-end designed
This is an accounting app for freelancers based in Spain. The dashboard displays relevant insights and allows you to view expenditure and revenue forecasts. The desktop version displays the tables for the incomes/outcomes in order to can see all the inputs on the same screen. For mobiles, this has been simplified for an easier UX.
The app has also two assistants that answer from the same data in different ways. The accessibility assistant is a router: a few buttons, one question at a time, that take anyone to the right answer or screen without navigating the app. The chatbot is a conversation: people write in their own words, Jev works out what they mean, and the app answers with its own figures.
